Stay happy and positive

 

The weekend comes slowly but passes away so quickly. To come to think of it, 6 days of work and one day of rest in a week doesn't sound so balanced, does it? Sad as it may be, it is an undeniable fact. As a result we end up stressed up all week round. The only way to balance things in life is through a more positive approach of thinking and behaving. (And it wouldn't hurt to be positive about things like a raise, bonus or holidays, provided you realize the chances you have at them!)

Start your new week and life with a more balanced you. Here's how;

Recognize and establish your values. Values are those built in beliefs and feelings that develop from our culture, upbringing and beliefs. Knowing your values and working around them will give you a better sense of accomplishment. When you stick to your values without deterring, you will feel proud of yourself, your hard work, accomplishment and ultimately your life.

Keep yourself fit mentally, physically and spiritually. Nurture your heart and mind with good friends, fun adventures, and learning new things. Take care of your body by eating healthy, getting regular exercise and enjoying rest. Refresh your spirit by reading inspirational books, praying, meditating, etc.

It might not seem possible but your surroundings can influence your sense of balance. Clean up your environmental surrounding like home and office. Solve issues in your personal life like your mind and relationships. After doing so you will feel more relieved.

You are in control of your own life. Look closely and you'll find that almost all the problems you have could have been avoided. You are in the position you are in because of yourself. If you are in a job you despise, an unhealthy relationship, do not wait until you get fired or dumped. Choose to change for the better. Recognize the cause of your discontent and take action.

Make smart decisions and become more aware of what makes you happy. The only true way to manage your stress is to combat it with whatever makes you happy and keeps you positive and recharged. Maintain these thoughts and commit to them on a daily basis and discover a more balanced you.

It helps to have faith in some higher power. When you find it hard to believe in things alone, your belief in that higher power will see you through the darkest of your days.
Keep with you or in your room a picture of that higher power or an inspirational quote that'll help you find your inner strength.
