Skin care for "Manly" men

It is definitely not "girly" or feminine to take good care of your skin and to put your "best face" forward. Even now, the idea of skin care for men is completely foreign and some men think that it's not "manly". Yes, men want the "rough and tough" look but there's nothing wrong with wanting a healthy skin or a great looking face!

What is the first thing that women notice about you? Certainly it's your face! The secret to a good looking face is a healthy skin. Additionally, as we age, our skin loses its elastic nature and the skin starts to wrinkle. So, proper skin care is important for men too.

The current buzzword for this is "metro sexual" but some men still find the word suspicious. But the real men don't worry about what others think because taking good care of your skin is a wise undertaking. So men get started with these simple skin care tips.

# Wash your face daily with mild soap and rinse it off with cold water.

# One or two times a week, wash your face with lukewarm water and a deep cleanser.   Use a slightly wet washcloth, and gently work in the cleanser in a circular motion. Your pores will be cleaned out and your skin will feel better.

# Always apply a moisturizing lotion or Aloe Vera lotion.

# When you head off outdoors always wear sunscreen. An SPF factor of 15 should suffice.

#Shaving is always rough on your face so do it right. If you use a blade, make sure that your face is coated with a thin stream of hot water before applying shaving cream. Give the cream a few minutes to settle in. Take your time.

# Eat a balanced diet. Double up on the fruits and vegetables, which often contain many anti-oxidants that can retard skin damage. Do your best to avoid greasy, fried food.

# Exercise will do more than simply get your heart rate going. It will clear your pores, increase your metabolism, and generally make you feel better about yourself.

# Drink plenty of water. Increase your intake if you are a drinker of beverages that dehydrate you, such as coffee, soda, and alcohol.

Happy grooming!
